Well it's been a
long time since we've had a feature car, no-one has sent in anything for us to
post. So we thought we had better show you shots of Kainey's restored L34 which
we featured earlier.

July 2007
As the last feature
car was an L34 restoration, we thought you might like to see another restoration
which is about to start, this time an A9X. One of only 3 Tuxedo Black
sedans made and originally brought in Tasmania from new, this car has chamois
interior with black trim. The body needs a lot of attention but the
interior isn't too bad. Our member brought the car last year after
pestering the owner for years. He thinks it will take about 2 years to
complete a full restoration. The car was displayed at the A9X Nationals in
Hobart, October last year. You might note in the pics that the car has a
Group C exhaust and it sounds awesome (gotta get one myself)! Can't wait
to see the end result!

The
feature car is Kaineys L34 restoration project. Brought recently for
'a good price', there's some work to do to return the legend back to it's
original condition. As we know this will take some time, but Kainey is also in
the process of another restoration, an LH SLR5000 which is looking good.
However he's keen to get the L34 up & running.
History goes that
the L34 was originally from Deloraine and then went to Burnie where it sat for
some years. We'll report on the restoration as it progresses.

January's
feature is Les's hot LC. In Les's words, "I've had the car for nearly 5
years and have slowly been doing bits and pieces to it as time and money allows.
Had a couple of runs at the drags and managed a 13.5 although it has potential
to go faster with some traction and a few mods added since the last run. It's
not really a daily driver as it loves the fuel and is a real pig in town but it
is fun to drive.

Our first feature car is
Steve's thundering LX SLR5000. Steve built the car from ground up
about 12 years ago and for those who haven't heard it fitted with the full Group
C exhaust, it's a sound to be heard. Details -
